Technology but not too much

I was trying to think about what to write, but since many others went off on subjects perhaps not so related I think I might go that route as well.

Yesterday in honor of earth day I was looking at some tips to save water. Here are a few that I may try to use in the near and not-so-near future.

1. Gather the cold(er) water that falls before you step in and use it to water plants or your dishes.

2. Buy a dual flush adapter: http://www.dualflushkit.com/, this is a sort of a technology maybe. I wonder how well it really works.

3. Rain barrels. Ok so Sacramento does not get much rain normally but that's all the more reason to save it and use it whenever possible.

  1. I'd like to hear more about veganism. In fact, how about a vegan bibliography?

  2. When I lived on Molokai and we had long power outages several times a week, I quickly learned about different kinds of technology: like kerosene lamps, hibachis, and solar showers. Some technologies, low-tech though they mignt be, are just as important as the high-tech varieties.
